Like any good band, it all began out of a garage. And, for CEO of Dr. Squatch, Jack Haldrup, that was just the case.
Jack was sick of putting harmful ingredients onto his skin and realized there was no specific niche for a clean men’s skincare line—with scents that smelled actually manly and not of a teenage boy going through a “phase.”
He began formulating his own soap brands in his garage and from this need, Dr. Squatch was born! His mission?

Saponified Oils
Dr. Squatch uses a combination of olive, sustainable palm, and coconut oils for its hydrating base, minus the mainstream, icky, comedogenic petroleum often used to “hydrate” the skin. Both olive and coconut oil contain a potent antioxidant property with coconut oil have a unique antimicrobial and antiinflammatory effect along the dermal layer of skin. (2)

Extracted from the tree, Vitellaria paradoxa, shea butter contains a plethora of unique fatty acids that also provide potent antiinflammatory and antioxidant effects.
